Two peas in a pod.  Sibling sisters DAKOTA and ELLA are nearly identical in person (Dakota has a more black muzzle and Ella more freckles on her muzzle) but otherwise,  you'll look twice to figure out who is who.  Personality wise, they are so, so similar and equally as appealing and just pleasant to hang out with.  Take a nice seat in the play yard  area and that's when you'll discover how much they enjoy relaxing and being with their human friend.   Give them some pets, maybe a nice combing (they have short hair but enjoy that activity) and you will be a huge hit.    The girls, even though they are still teens on paper,  had little or no interest in toys and in general have a more mature/adult feel to them vs playful and goofy.   We're still getting to know them but thus far they have done a nice job in interacting with other dogs and overall get high high marks for being so amiable and great natured.  We look forward to discovering even more about what makes these young ladies so special and perfect companion pets.   Stay tuned in...

Facebook Update July 27: Do blondes have more fun? Well, we just took in 2 siblings, DAKOTA and ELLA who MIGHT be able to answer that eternal question for you! Thing is though, you've got to come on down and ask them in person. Still teens at 7 mos of age, these recent arrivals have a more mature/adult feel to them and are very mild mannered. Both very polite, friendly and great on the leash, while they might turn out to be huge party animals, likely they will have a very manageable "fun factor." Be THE FIRST to interview one or both of these great girls today and be sure to ask them if blondes have more fun! LOL. Hope to see you soon.

Facebook Update August 13: We love discovering what makes our pets so wonderful! Yesterday, we spent some extra time with teen blonde sensation ELLA and what a joy she is!! We learned in particular that only next to her humans, she really, really loves water!! She went diving in and out of the kiddie pool with great fanfare and as one volunteer described her, "She was snorkeling and blowing bubbles under the water." This super friendly and most lovely young lady is working the crowd here to get noticed and no doubt she succeeded today!! If young at heart and on paper and sleek blonde to boot sounds like your kind of doggy friend, come check out ELLA today!

Facebook Update August 20: I love being near my human and I love my snacks. I think folks will agree I've done a swell job at settling into shelter life. I'm very easy to leash up for walks and i'll happily trot by your side as we go to the play yard where I can charm the socks off of you. With little or no interest in toys and a big interest in the humans, I think you'll enjoy how beautifully I sit by your side and also patiently wait for a snack. I'm prone for some zoomie loops and curious in general about my surroundings, but the thing i love most is getting some TLC from the humans. Can't YOU see YOUR hand petting and loving on me? I can! Ask for me, ELLA soon as I'm ready to head on home.

Facebook update Sept 1: Introducing Volunteer Tracey! We caught Tracey at her best the other day walking one of her fave doggies...ELLA! Don't tell the other dogs, but in general Tracey first reaches for Ella as she begins to get dogs out for walks. Next up, might be sibling Dakota. Tracey described her as loving, very sweet, a lap girl and easy to manage. We were thrilled to see them out and about! Welcome Tracey!
