New bio June 29: Big boy DOJO is everyone's immediate and best friend! Our 1.5yr old mixed breed fella has been patiently waiting a long time to go home and he's hoping YOU, yes YOU, will offer him a full time pet position. Dojo is young on paper (1.5 yrs old) and young at heart. Graced with a playful, upbeat, very friendly personality, his middle name could be "Fun Times!" He's been excellent in doggy play groups with an assortment of other dogs...male and female...and he's the leader of the pack and instigator as he aims to include all in his group play time. A larger framed dog and a good size at 60lbs, he has some extra umph to him but let him work it off for a bit and then he's on your side ready for snuggle time. During our latest heat wave, Dojo lucked out in going into a foster home where he was excellent. Housebroken and understanding the dynamics of the inside environment, it did not take much time for him to settle in and have a great time. Dojo is wonderful in the car, loves his toys, is ready to go and do and always has a waggy tail and big grin to greet all. Does he do it? Well, he kind of does! Please check him out today!!
For a good time, we know who you need to call. DOJO!! Mr Oreo Face himself is silly, goofy, loving and most playful. At about a year of age, he's still stocked with puppy antics and behavior that YOU will LOVE! Never meeting a stranger, he's front and center in his kennel hoping that you, yes you, will stop and take him out for a walk and or simply love on him. A good size boy pushing 60lbs, he sports a more trim, athletic frame and is the most head turning, good looking fella! Loaded with personality plus, toss a ball and watch him gallop to go get it. Truth is, he will gallop over to the ball, but our experience is that he will nose touch the ball then happily trot right back over to you. The ball is left where you tossed it! LOL. Very snuggly, interactive and wishing to be in the thick of things, Dojo is curious, ready to go and do and when he's physically sated, he'd love nothing more than to stretch his long limbs out and make himself comfy in your lap. Who says a 60lb lap dog is impractical/not possible? Curiously or not, when Dojo arrived as a puppy for adoption summer 2024, his name was BUZZ. Even now, he's such a fan favorite and appeals across so many of our channels that once again, he is all the BUZZ! Please see for yourself.
Facebook Update March 4: For goodness sakes! Time has literally flown by. It was not that long ago that I was here as a tiny and most adorable pup looking for my first ever pet job. Well, darn it. My family can longer care for me so I'm back in a kennel and 100% ready to get right back into a new full time pet job. I'm one of the most outgoing, friendly, silly and goofy guys in the county. Dressed for success in my sleek black and white coat, I still have the perfect amount of puppy playfulness coupled with a carefree outlook that's sure to appeal to the masses. Now a little over a year old and a very fit 57lbs, I'm your new best friend. Just saying... Please ask for me DOJO. You'll be glad you did.
Facebook Update March 15: Our most handsome of doggies, DOJO has been living the foster life in a Clemson student's apartment (and doing a phenomenal job!) for the past few weeks, but it's spring break time and he's back here with us! Dojo has never met a stranger and was a perfect match for the comings of goings of student life and easily settling into a new environment. Dojo is playful, friendly, bouncy and so much fun to hang out with. Do yourself a favor and check out Dojo and maybe he gets to spend spring break with YOU!!
Facebook Update March 28: Our good friend DOJO is chomping at the bit ready to go home. Our sporty in look and also in attitude, most handsome fella can't wait to meet the new family that wishes to tap into his super fun and most playful side. Never meeting a stranger, DOJO's book is wide open and he's looking for someone to fill in his daily journal with toy time, exercise time and of course, kissy/huggy/snuggly time. Sound like your kind of black and white new best friend? If so, ask for DOJO today!
Facebook Update April 15: Everyone loves DOJO but yet, he's still here sitting. And waiting. And hoping to go home! Our handsome hunk (about a yr old and 60lbs), has never met a stranger, has done well in a Clemson student foster home and now, look how well did on a recent off site journey!! Dojo is playful and loving and just wants to have fun and be loved. A simple request, no?
Some brief notes below from his outing and a plea from him to please come and check him out. He's pretty sure you'll find a friend in him!
Update: We took Dojo out for a hike and wanted to share some pictures! He was a great boy who loved the car. He loved to sniff and was happy to meet lots of new people and was friendly with all the dogs he encountered. He was a good listener and picked up on things very quickly! He's such a sweet boy and I'm hoping he gets to a good family
April 24 Update: We continue to share Dojo with a plethora of other dogs on site and he is terrific! On a recent play date, he was interacting with male and female dogs, different sizes and ages and he had so much fun. He's not one to sit on the sidelines and will actively engage with the other dogs- Think bow down to them, wrestle and roll over on his back to entice them to come closer and if you have a doggy pool, he just might hop in for a dip! Most excellent play mate to all!
Facebook Update May 20: It was bath time for me yesterday. I got filthy....just filthy....on a playdate with my good friend Hummer. He and I wrestled, played tag, rolled around in the muckiest of muck and when "recess" was over, the volunteers insisted it was bath time. I was such a good boy in the tub!! I'm a healthy size fella at 60lbs and my limbs are long and lanky so I quickly filled up that tub without even trying. Very patient and enjoying very much the one on one attention and scrub a dub hands giving me a massage of sorts, it was my time to shine, no doubt.
I heard the volunteers chatting that as clean as I am, it's truly THE best time to adopt and bring me home. Free of any yucky muck and nice and fresh smelling (I'll insist I smell good all the time btw!), I'll keep an eye out for you, ok? Of note, I'm excellent in doggy play groups, I've never met a stranger, I have some extra umph so a more active home will best tap into my pet skills and I truly find fun and good times no matter where I am!! Please ask for me, DOJO today!
Facebook Update June 3: Surely it's time for DOJO to draw the Golden Adoption Ticket and head home, right?
