Our petite beagle friend JED does not disappoint and he charges the most reasonable pet rates in the county. Uh, once you adopt him, all of his pet services are included in the adoption fee. A lifetime of fee-less fun! LOL. Jed is quite the little ham- all dressed up in his appealing tri-colored jacket, featherlike tail and big brown eyes imploring you to please notice him and bring him home. Found as a stray with JETHRO (Lab with short bassett legs) they make quite the odd couple - but truly a fun couple! Both dogs have done well in meeting other dogs on site and while they would love to go home together, still they are open to beginning new pet jobs on their own. Jed is super friendly, kissy, kind, a bit of an explorer (what self respecting beagle is not??) and really open to meeting everyone. Graced with a cheery attitude and outlook on life, Jed would fit into most home environments and what a great companion pet he'd make. We look forward to meeting the family that gets to call Jed their new best friend.
More about Jed from his foster mom: Jed is so sweet. He doesn't answer to Jed, but does answer to "Goodboy", which really melted my heart. Jed is a one-year-old beagle mix who is soft, sweet, and a gentle soul ready for a fresh start. He has a calm, affectionate demeanor, and he's the kind of dog who just wants to "be a good boy." He's housetrained, walks well on a leash (he follows his nose but doesn't pull), and slept quietly through the night in his crate without any barking or accidents.
Jed is very obedient and eager to please. He knows "Sit" and "No," and he might even have more commands in his repertoire that we haven't discovered yet! He hasn't shown any signs of destructive behavior and has been a pleasure to foster. It's clear he wants to be close to his human, and he thrives on connection and kindness.
He may have come from a tough past. When he heard someone use harsh language, he cowered, which was very sad. Despite this, Jed is incredibly trusting and gentle with everyone he meets.
Jed would be an excellent companion dog for someone looking for a loyal, well-mannered, and loving friend. He's the kind of dog who quietly stays by your side, ready to remind you how good life can be with a dog like him in it.
