Lovely Luna:
* Purebred 2 year old female Great Dane
* Spayed and healthy
* Black with beautiful white markings and the most cutest pout face ever! Her eyes just make you want to cuddle her!
* Petite build, currently weighs 111 pounds and is very tall!
* Located in Cedar Rapids, IA

Basics
* Luna is a very good girl who was dumped at a shelter in May 2022 after she had a litter of puppies all puppies reportedly died.
* Very food motivated! She loves her food, and treats!
* Luna loves to RUN and PLAY rough with other resident foster female Dane
* Loves her Crate!
* She knows sit, down and crate. Walks well on martingale collar after initial excitement.

Likes
* Lots of physical activity and mental stimulation!
* She is a snuggle bug who wants attention first and often will nudge others out of the way or nudge your hand if you stop giving pets.
* She hasn't met an person (adult/older children) that she doesn't like!
Needs/quirks
* She CAN OPEN Doors!!!! Luna has opened the level door handle in her foster home.
* Luna can and does take items off the counter or just random objects. She has taken a bag of chips off the counter but left the chips alone but wanted the chip clip that was on the bag. She has taken her Foster Mom's wallet from the counter to her Crate with her and emptied the contents while Foster Dad wasn't watching. For this reason she is not allowed to be free roam in the home and Foster Mom suggests continuing to use the Crate when left unattended.
* Luna would benefit from obedience classes just for exposure and continued learning how to be a good girl.
* Needs companion that likes her high energy to keep up with her zooms and jumping in the yard!
* Luna will sometimes lay or fluff her kennel bed so that it is over her body like covers.
* Slow introductions with new dogs are a must. Luna tends to be more dominant in nature with the current resident Dogs.
* Luna does better with the Foster homes Resident Danes than with the smaller dog (35 pounds) as she doesn't realize how big she is.
* Luna's love to be in the center of attention means that she sometimes gets corrected for barking at the other Resident dogs in the home who maybe getting attention.
* Foster home does not have cats and believes she would do best in a home without cats or have ability to separate them.

Hard Requirements For Her Forever home
* 5 ft minimum fence height required. Watch under close supervision as the active playful girl has jumped a 4 ft fence.
* No dogs smaller than 35 pounds.
* Luna needs to be placed in a home with no children. She would also prefer a calmer home with not alot of other living creatures (birds, reptiles, chickens to name a few)
