Esco has officially become our longest resident, and while he's been patiently waiting, we know this boy deserves so much more than shelter life. While he might seem a bit shy at first, he warms up quickly and adores back scratches and treats. This energetic boy loves walks and playing with toys! His playful nature and endearing personality have already made him a staff and volunteer favorite.
Esco is polite when taking treats from your hand and absolutely loves to play outside in the snow or the sunshine! (Yes, he's been here long enough for us to know.) He's smart, treat-motivated, and knows all the basics-sit, paw, down. He'll gently catch snacks mid-air and chase toys with the funniest little paw-waps. Esco may take a minute to build trust, but once he knows you, he leans in close and doesn't hold back on the affection. Laying with you under a shade tree after playtime is one of his favorite things.
No cats for this guy, and he's selective about his dog friends-but he's open to meeting the right match. Pretty girls are a much better bet than other males.
