Sometimes a dog comes into the shelter needing a little extra care, and Hoagie is one of those special boys who has met that care with nothing but patience and sweetness.
Hoagie is a gentle, loving guy who enjoys being around people. He's also a great loose-leash walker, making him a wonderful companion for leisurely walks and everyday adventures.
When Hoagie arrived as a stray, his beautiful coat was very matted. As we work to gently brush him out and get those mats removed, Hoagie has been incredibly patient with everyone helping him. In fact, he seems to enjoy the extra attention and one-on-one time-as if he knows these people are trying to make him feel better.
Hoagie came into the shelter with another dog, and they are currently kennel mates. Because he seems to enjoy canine companionship, we think he could do well sharing a home with another dog. As always, we recommend a meet and greet with any resident dogs to make sure everyone is a good match.
This sweet boy has already been through enough. Now he deserves someone who will give him the kindness, care and love he so patiently gives to everyone around him.
Hoagie is available to adopt or foster. Come meet this gentle soul-you just might be the person he's been waiting for.
