POGO is the perfect mix of playful, independent, and affectionate!
This fun-loving girl LOVES her toys and thinks playing in water is the best-especially when someone is willing to give her a good splash with the hose! She also enjoys chasing squirrels and getting outside to burn off some energy.
But when playtime is over, Pogo is more than happy to crawl into your lap for some love and affection. She truly gives you the best of both worlds: an active girl who enjoys having fun and a cuddly companion who loves her people.
Pogo came to the shelter with another dog and has enjoyed running alongside a dog in the adjacent yard. We think she may enjoy having a canine friend in her new home, but a meet-and-greet is recommended to make sure everyone is a good match.
If you're looking for a dog who can keep up with your adventures but is just as happy to curl up in your lap afterward, Pogo may be your girl!

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon to 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our adoptable animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilcotx.gov.
In addition to our main shelter at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626, you can also meet adoptable dogs at our satellite location, the Red Poppy Adoptique, located at 110 W L Walden Dr, Georgetown, TX 78626.

Looking for a fun way to make a difference? Try our Doggy Day Out program! Take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours-giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time. The program runs at both locations daily starting at noon.
We always welcome your dogs to come and meet our dogs, too! We'll see you soon at either location!
