New sounds, quick movements, and unfamiliar places can feel overwhelming at first. Blondie's secret is simple: let her take things at her own pace. Once she feels safe and decides you're her person, she becomes the most loyal little shadow. Whether you're relaxing on the couch, watching TV, reading a book, or just moving around the house, Blondie will happily be right there with you.
She loves cozy couch naps, enrichment toys filled with tasty treats, plush toys, and settling in for the evening with a good bone before bedtime. Blondie is crate trained and actually enjoys her crate, making it her own comfortable little retreat while her family is away or when she wants some quiet time.
Blondie is also a very tolerant and loving girl. She enjoys affection once trust is built, but her future family will need to understand that the best way to win her heart is to let her come to you. A few treats nearby, a little patience, and respecting her space will show Blondie that she is safe. Then one day, you'll get that magical little head nudge asking for pets-and congratulations, you're officially her person.

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon to 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our adoptable animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilcotx.gov.
In addition to our main shelter at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626, you can also meet adoptable dogs at our satellite location, the Red Poppy Adoptique, located at 110 W L Walden Dr, Georgetown, TX 78626.

Looking for a fun way to make a difference? Try our Doggy Day Out program! Take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours-giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time. The program runs at both locations daily starting at noon.
We always welcome your dogs to come and meet our dogs, too! We'll see you soon at either location!
