If you're looking for a dog who wears his heart on his sleeve, Monterey is your guy! This high-energy sweetheart loves greeting his favorite people with plenty of hugs and affection.
Once the cuddles are out of the way, Monterey settles in nicely and walks well on leash. He already knows "sit" and is always happy to soak up extra pets and belly rubs whenever they're offered.
Monterey also enjoys playgroup at the shelter and loves spending time with other dogs. If you already have a canine companion at home, be sure to bring them along for a meet-and-greet to see if they're a perfect match!

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon to 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our adoptable animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilcotx.gov.
In addition to our main shelter at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626, you can also meet adoptable dogs at our satellite location, the Red Poppy Adoptique, located at 110 W L Walden Dr, Georgetown, TX 78626.

Looking for a fun way to make a difference? Try our Doggy Day Out program! Take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours-giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time. The program runs at both locations daily starting at noon.
We always welcome your dogs to come and meet our dogs, too! We'll see you soon at either location!
