Walter is the sweetest, most loving senior boy. He's been through a lot in life, but that hasn't dampened his spirits at all. He's the happiest boy greeting you when you come home, or when you wake up in the morning. He's a little slower moving than he must have been in his younger days, but he gets little bursts of energy and loves to chew on a bone or zoom around occasionally. He's fine at home alone for hours at a time and doesn't have any signs of separation anxiety. In fact, his foster parent's cameras confirm from that when the humans are out, he decides it's nap time.
He is potty trained and has learned sit, down, stay, and come here all in one week! He responds well to positive reinforcement and treat training. He's working on building confidence, so someone who can help him with this would be a great fit.
When he's not enjoying nap time, this guy is always happy, smiling, and trying to sneak a cuddle in. He's very quiet and only barks when he needs to use the bathroom or is feeling exceptionally happy/ playful.
Walter would do best in a one-story home or first floor apartment, or somewhere with a fenced in yard to sniff around in. Unfortunately, he's missing some toes, so a staircase is a no-go for him. As far as other dogs, he'd need a house without larger dogs, smaller dogs may be okay.
