At 12 years old and just 19 pounds, Roonie is a gentle soul navigating the world without sight. Because he can't see, he startles easily, but with a calm voice and a gentle touch on his back, he quickly understands he's safe. Once he knows you're there, he allows himself to be picked up and handled, trusting in your kindness.
Roonie doesn't need much-just patience, understanding, and a loving heart. He's looking for a quiet home where he can feel secure and spend his golden years surrounded by comfort and care.

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon to 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our adoptable animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilcotx.gov.
In addition to our main shelter at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626, you can also meet adoptable dogs at our satellite location, the Red Poppy Adoptique, located at 110 W L Walden Dr, Georgetown, TX 78626.

Looking for a fun way to make a difference? Try our Doggy Day Out program! Take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours-giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time. The program runs at both locations daily starting at noon.
