If Texas had a state soda and a state dog, Red Ryder would be both. Just like a frosty Big Red, this handsome boy is bubbly, sweet, and guaranteed to brighten your day.
Red starts off a little fizzy and reserved, but give him a moment and-pssshhht!-he pops open into the most loyal, affectionate sidekick you could ask for. Once you're one of "his people," he sticks to you like that unmistakable Big Red flavor sticks to your soul.
Red is a smart, well-mannered boy who's been lucky enough to live in a foster home for a bit and learn the good life. Indoors, he's a total sweetheart and loves staying close to his human. Outdoors, he's an elite-level sniffer with a zest for adventure. Walks are his favorite time to explore every scent (and we mean every scent), and he's been practicing his leash manners with treats and patience. He also loves a good backyard ball toss-just a quick 10-minute burst of fun to shake up his day.
His foster says he's on a great routine: two walks a day, meals after exercise, and lots of love in between. At night, he sometimes gets a little whiny, but it's usually just his polite way of saying, "Hey... um... I gotta go potty." What a gentleman.
If you're looking for a loyal companion with a huge heart, a quirky personality, and the enthusiasm of a freshly cracked Big Red, Red Ryder is your guy. Bring him home and taste the joy of life with your very own Big Red!
Come meet him at our Red Poppy Adoptique any day from noon to 6pm. We are located in the beautiful San Gabriel Park at 110 W L Walden Dr, Georgetown, TX 78626.
Red Ryder has an Adoption Angel, this means his adoption fee has been covered by a generous donation!
