Banks is a gentle, sensitive boy who is just beginning to discover the world around him. After spending six months stressed out at the shelter, a short stay in foster revealed his true personality-and it's beautiful to see.
In a home environment, Banks blossoms. He enjoys running in the yard, going on walks, playing fetch, and simply being a dog. He is house-trained, well-mannered, and finds comfort in his crate, though he much prefers being close to his people.
Banks bonds deeply and is incredibly affectionate once he feels safe. While new situations and sudden movements can still make him unsure, he gains confidence with time, patience, and the support of a calm, well-mannered dog companion.
Banks will do best in a low-traffic home with people who will give him the time he needs to fully settle in. He will need adopters who are willing to wait until he is comfortable before introducing new people, and who will continue with slow, thoughtful introductions as he builds confidence. He also needs a home with another dog (or dogs) to help guide him and show him the world is safe.
He would thrive in a quiet, loving home that allows him to move at his own pace and continue building trust. With a little time and understanding, Banks will reward his family with loyalty, sweetness, and a truly special connection.

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon to 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our adoptable animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilcotx.gov.
In addition to our main shelter at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626, you can also meet adoptable dogs at our satellite location, the Red Poppy Adoptique, located at 110 W L Walden Dr, Georgetown, TX 78626.

Looking for a fun way to make a difference? Try our Doggy Day Out program! Take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours-giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time. The program runs at both locations daily starting at noon.
