Meet Monte!
Monte is the perfect combination of snuggle bug and playful adventurer! He loves cuddling, being petted, running, chasing birds, and playing with his favorite stuffies.
He knows sit and paw, and he does well on walks-although spotting a bunny may suddenly activate his inner athlete!
Monte is also a great car rider and hopped right into the car like a pro.
Morning or night, Monte is always ready for some cuddles. If you're looking for a fun-loving boy who can run and play with you, then curl up for some serious snuggle time, Monte is your guy!
Monte is a special boy who needs a little extra time and support when meeting new people. To help set him up for success, we ask that interested adopters schedule an appointment to meet him.
This gives us a chance to introduce you properly and share what makes Monte so special.

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon to 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our adoptable animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilcotx.gov.
In addition to our main shelter at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626, you can also meet adoptable dogs at our satellite location, the Red Poppy Adoptique, located at 110 W L Walden Dr, Georgetown, TX 78626.

Looking for a fun way to make a difference? Try our Doggy Day Out program! Take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours-giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time. The program runs at both locations daily starting at noon.
We always welcome your dogs to come and meet our dogs, too! We'll see you soon at either location!
