Hal - Your Fetch Champion & Poolside Buddy!
If your dream dog loves equal parts adventure and relaxation, Hal might just be your perfect match!
Hal is happiest when he has a ball in his mouth and a kiddie pool to splash around in. Whether it's a Kong, squeaky ball, or tennis ball, he'll happily play fetch for as long as you'll throw it. When he's ready for a break, you'll often find him lounging in the water, happily chewing on his favorite toy and soaking up the good life.
This handsome guy is incredibly smart and already knows sit, down, and speak. He's very treat motivated, making him a great candidate for learning even more tricks. Hal walks nicely on a leash, although every now and then he'll decide he'd rather go his own way and stage a peaceful sit-in until you negotiate a better route!
At home, Hal is an easy companion. He enjoys following his people from room to room before settling down nearby to relax. He isn't interested in getting into trouble-no counter surfing or mischief here! Instead, he's content entertaining himself with his toys. He is quick to make friends with everyone he meets, including children and adults, and he generally ignores strangers and other dogs while out on walks. He may chase the occasional bird, but that's all part of the fun.
Hal does appreciate having his belongings respected. He doesn't like having toys or food taken away from him, so he'd do best with a family who understands his boundaries and can manage those situations appropriately.
If you're looking for a loyal, intelligent, fun-loving companion, Hal is ready to fill that role. An active family with a fenced backyard where he can chase balls, cool off in the pool, and spend time with the people he loves would be his dream come true. Come meet Hal-you'll quickly see why everyone falls for this good boy!

Looking for a fun way to make a difference? Try our Doggy Day Out program! Take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours-giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time. The program runs at both locations daily starting at noon.

We always welcome your dogs to come and meet our dogs, too! We'll see you soon at either location!
