Dutton was brought to us after being hit by a car. This poor (but gorgeous) guy had a broken humerus and a luxated hip, both needing repair. Dutton had surgery and is recovering well. Currently, he still favors the right front leg (the leg not injured). In case that wasn't enough drama/trauma, Dutton was also diagnosed as being heartworm positive on arrival. He is a young, purebred Border Collie who has been through so much already. Dutton has been in foster care throughout this entire ordeal, and we have learned a great deal during that time. He is nervous around men and loud noises. Dutton hates car rides! He vomits and poops anytime he is in a car (understandable, since he was hit by one). He is housebroken. Yay! Dutton has already started heartworm treatment here and will finish it here as well. In the meantime he is available as a foster to adopt.
