Lucilla is a loving, playful girl who enjoys getting attention and spending time with her people. This sweet girl is always happy to soak up lots of pets and affection!
Lucilla's idea of a perfect day is a little bit of playtime, a few good naps, and getting all the pets and attention her heart desires. She's ready to find her forever home where she can be loved and cherished.
Lucilla previously lived with farm animals, including chickens and turkeys, as well as cats and other dogs. She does enjoy chasing rabbits and cats, so her new family will want to keep that in mind when introducing her to smaller animals.

Good With Cats: Doubtful. Does like to chase. We do recommend a slow introduction
Good With Dogs: Possibly. Did live with other dogs and did fine with them. We do recommend a slow introduction
Good With Kids: Possibly. Has met a child (2 1/2 years old) and did good with him - would occasionally knock down accidently. We do recommend a slow introduction
All the dogs at Northwoods Humane Society have had a basic exam by NHS veterinary staff. They have been microchipped, tested for Heartworm (if over 6 months of age), had at least their first distemper combo vaccination (2nd if here longer), dewormed with a general dewormer, and had a flea and tick treatment applied if applicable. All the dogs will be spayed or neutered before they are adopted to their new permanent homes. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix.
