Humphrey was pulled from Mpls Animal Care because he was having diarrhea issues and badly needed a dental which they were not equipped to do. He went directly into a foster home while he recovered from his surgery and is going to stay there while waiting to get adopted. Humphrey should stay on special GI food and Forti Flora to slowly transition to what he's going to eat in his new home because his system seems to be more sensitive about changes.
Notes from my foster mom: As fosters, we have to write about the cat's personality. We always have a cat that will break our hearts. Humphrey is that cat. He came to me a bit sick, he had a bit of pain in his mouth, so he went through a long process. He deserves a family that will give him the love that he deserves because he is the sweetest cat that someone can meet. This is the cat that will make a dog person become a cat person. He is the cat that will change anyone's mind about cats. He likes everyone; he wants to become friends with anyone, including other cats. He will benefit from a cat friend, but he will also be great if he is the only cat as long as he gets his daily pets. Adding to all of this, he has a very loud meow! Also, he knows how to sit. He has great manners. Sometimes during feeding time, I don't even have to let him know to sit; he just does it. Have kids? A baby or a toddler? He is great with kids as well. The sweetest guy. Also, he has the greatest purrs. My hope for him is to find his forever home.
Good with dogs: Unknown but possibly with a proper introduction
Good with cats: Possibly with a truly slow introduction. He was adopted but did not get along with the resident cat however, he did get along with the cats in his foster home. The foster took a few weeks to slowly introduce them.
Good with children: yes, did great with the child in his foster home
Cats are feline leukemia/feline immunodeficiency virus tested (if applicable), if there is a litter, one in the litter is tested or the queen is tested. They have had at least their first distemper combo (booster given if been in our care for the appropriate time), been de-wormed, microchipped, and treated with a flea and tick product (if applicable). All the cats are spayed or neutered before they leave for their forever homes.
