Say hello to Sarafina, a delicate little lady with the heart of a gentle poet. She's a dainty, soft-spoken sweetheart who may need a moment (or two) to warm up-but once she does, her affection sneaks up on you like a cozy surprise. If you sit with her, she'll slowly show her trust increase by making little biscuits and rubbing up against the nearest thing in her kennel. Sarafina's still figuring out how she feels about being scooped up (jury's out), but she's an expert in quiet companionship, slow blinks, and curling up nearby like a tiny, elegant shadow. If you're patient, kind, and have a soft blanket or two, Sarafina will reward you with trust, love, and the occasional "did you just move?" stare.
Notes from NHS volunteer: Sarafina was not wanting to interact at all until I sat down a few catnip treats and she eventually let me pet her, then hold her, then pet her while she walked around. I think that having the catnip treats would be a really good tool for visits with adopters!
Good with Cats: Likely, with a slow/proper introduction. I used to live with many cats.
Good with Dogs: Unknown, they might be a bit scary for her.
Good with Kids: Unknown, but might do ok with older, calmer kids.
Cats are feline leukemia/feline immunodeficiency virus tested (if applicable), if there is a litter, one in the litter is tested or the queen is tested. They have had at least their first distemper combo (booster given if been in our care for the appropriate time), been de-wormed, microchipped, and treated with a flea and tick product (if applicable). All the cats are spayed or neutered before they leave for their forever homes.
