How I Arrived At NHS: We were brought in from a hoarding situation but needed more time before we were ready so we got to go into a foster home. We're back at the shelter now and ready to find our new homes.
Notes from my foster mom: Focaccia has been slow in growing but is now finally big enough to get fixed and find a home of his own. This little man is definitely on the shy side so is going to need someone who is understanding and will give him time and patience to feel comfortable with his new family. He tends to want to run when you walk towards him but if you stop and coax him to you, he'll come and let you pet him. He relaxes more when you're sitting down and will come and sit next to you getting in lots of pets.
He loves playing with the other kittens in his foster home so would probably appreciate another one to pal around with. He and Myrtle did really well together in foster. He also loves my long haired adult male and can be found making biscuits so I'm assuming he reminds him of his mom and it's comforting.
He should be started in one room with multiple litter boxes in the house because he got confused in the beginning with where the litter boxes were. He's much better about that now but there are litter boxes in almost every room for him. I think he will need that for now until he gets a little older.
He really is a sweet little soul who just needs the right person to help him become comfortable in his new home. He'll be worth the little bit of extra effort!
Good With Kids: possibly but very small children's energy may make him nervous
Good With Cats: yes, would be happiest living with another
Good With Dogs: unknown but possibly with a proper introduction
Cats are feline leukemia/feline immunodeficiency virus tested (if applicable), if there is a litter, one in the litter is tested or the queen is tested. They have had at least their first distemper combo (booster given if been in our care for the appropriate time), been de-wormed, microchipped, and treated with a flea and tick product (if applicable). All the cats are spayed or neutered before they leave for their forever homes.
