Meet Zara, a lovely lady with a soft heart and so much affection to share! At 6 years old and 42 pounds, this sweet girl is looking for someone who will give her a little time to settle in and let her personality blossom.
Zara was shy when she first arrived, but with kindness and time spent with her human friends, she's been coming out of her shell. Once she feels comfortable, her affectionate side shines through-she loves to pause on walks for cuddles and a little extra attention. Exploring is nice, but sharing a sweet moment with you might be even better! She's responsive to her handler, already knows "sit," and is housebroken.
Ask to meet Zara outside of her kennel, where she has a chance to relax and show you the lovely girl beneath that shy first impression. With a little patience and a welcoming heart, you could help Zara write her happiest chapter yet.
Zara may need to meet any doggie roommates to make sure they are a good match. She has done well with small breed dogs.
