Meet Lady, an easygoing sweetheart who quickly proves that she is every bit as lovely as her name!
Lady can be a little shy in the shelter, but as soon as she gets outside, she begins to relax and show her affectionate personality. She is easy to handle and walks beautifully on leash.
Lady recently attended an adoption event where she was an absolute superstar. She calmly handled crowds, popping balloons, falling signs, and even a large, rowdy group of children. She happily greeted everyone with gentle sniffs and kisses, approached people for attention, and leaned against their legs to soak up all the affection. She was especially patient and sweet with the many young children who ran over to pet her.
She showed curiosity toward the cats she saw in a nearby van but remained calm and nonreactive. She was also interested in the other dogs at the event while peacefully sharing the space with them.
Lady may not be interested in posing for endless pictures-she would much rather come over for pets! When one large camera got a little too close, she bravely inspected it with a sniff and a lick before giving it one bark to remind it who was in charge.
As if she weren't already wonderful enough, Lady is also an excellent passenger. She hops right into the car, settles in, and enjoys watching the world pass by through the windows.
Calm, gentle, friendly, and affectionate, Lady is a total dream and a true event superstar. She is ready to trade shelter life for a loving home where she can lean into her people and receive all the pets she deserves.
Lady has met other dogs at the shelter, she does best with gentle friends and will need to meet any potential doggie roommates to make sure they are a good match. She is eligible to come back to BARCS for social sessions.
