Baloo is a sweet 10-month-old puppy. At 46 pounds, she's still a growing girl with plenty of puppyhood ahead of her. Right now, the shelter environment feels a little overwhelming, and Baloo is understandably nervous as she settles in. Even so, she has been incredibly sweet and easy to handle.
Once Baloo realizes you're her friend, you can see her confidence begin to peek through. Her little tail starts to wag hopefully, and she'll come closer to her person for some gentle pets. It's clear that there's a loving, trusting girl underneath that initial shyness, and we can't wait to watch her personality emerge as she becomes more comfortable.
Baloo arrived with a skin issue that has been making her feel less than her best. She is receiving treatment, and we're looking forward to seeing her feel better and absolutely glow up!
Baloo has been spending time in a short-term foster home, and her sweet personality is beginning to shine! She has been doing wonderfully with housetraining and is an easy walking companion who takes guidance well and doesn't pull on the leash. Although she can be timid around new people and unfamiliar things, Baloo is becoming more curious and confident each day.
At home, her playful puppy side is starting to emerge. She loves spending time outside, watching the critters and following crickets and butterflies around the yard. She has even been caught doing an adorable army crawl under the bed to investigate! Baloo knows "sit" with a little encouragement-and this clever girl can hop over a baby gate when she feels inspired.
Baloo is incredibly sweet and affectionate with the person she trusts. She loves to cuddle, lean against her foster, and give gentle nuzzles. She is also curious about the resident dog and may enjoy having a canine friend following a thoughtful introduction.
Baloo is still learning that she is safe and loved, but she is making progress every day. She would thrive with a patient adopter who will give her the time and reassurance she needs to continue blossoming. In return, Baloo promises plenty of cuddles, companionship, and sweet little adventures.
Baloo has met other dogs at the shelter, she is a gentle girl who does best with polite friends. She interacted well with small dogs.
Baloo would love a patient family who understands that she may need some time, kindness, and reassurance as she adjusts to her new surroundings. She's still just a puppy, and there is so much for this sweet girl to learn and discover. We can't wait to learn more about her and share it with you soon.
