Meet Clarissa! This sweet 10-month-old girl arrived at BARCS as a stray, and her finder described her as very friendly. Clarissa can be a little unsure when entering unfamiliar surroundings, but give her a moment to take everything in and her affectionate, easygoing personality begins to shine.
During her time at the shelter, Clarissa has continued to grow more comfortable and confident. She enjoys heading out on the trails with her volunteer friends, where she quickly relaxes and happily soaks up plenty of pets and attention. She walks nicely on the leash, has passed other dogs without reacting, and has shown little interest in small animals along the way.
Once Clarissa reaches the play yard, her adorable puppy personality really comes alive! She loves zooming around the yard, exploring her surroundings, and showing off her playful side. She has also started showing interest in toys and would likely have so much fun discovering all the joys of playtime in a home. When she is finished getting her zoomies out, Clarissa is happy to reconnect with her person and enjoy some affection.
Clarissa is food motivated, already knows "sit," and appears to be housetrained at the shelter. At only 10 months old, she has the perfect combination of playful puppy energy and loving companionship. This special girl would thrive with a patient adopter who will give her the reassurance and time she needs to feel safe and secure.

Clarissa has met other dogs at the shelter, she is a social playful girl! She can be a little pushy and does best with socially savvy and tolerant male friends. She may need to meet any potential doggie roommates to make sure they are a good match.
