Meet Queenie! This sweet, social girl came to BARCS through no fault of her own. She previously lived with other dogs, including a Yorkie, and has also done well around children. At the shelter, Queenie has been cuddly, affectionate, and laid-back. She is easy to leash and enjoys leisurely walks with her friends. Queenie is a great snuggler and wants to be as close as she can to you. She even plops down and rolls over for belly rubs.
Queenie has been spending time in a foster home, where she has proven to be a friendly, comical, and easygoing girl! She is fully house-trained, walks beautifully on leash, and settles perfectly when left alone. This affectionate lady loves being near her people and will happily stay by your side, but she is also comfortable relaxing independently. Queenie has met multiple strangers-including men, women, and a child-both inside and outside the home. Her favorite way to greet everyone is by rolling over and requesting belly rubs!
Queenie generally has a low energy level and enjoys leisurely walks, playing with stuffies, and plenty of cuddle time. Now that she is feeling better, her foster is also seeing more of her spunky, playful personality shine through. She has remained separated from the resident pets, so her foster has not yet observed how she interacts with other animals in the home.
Sweet, cooperative, affectionate, and full of personality, Queenie is a delightful companion who is ready to become someone's loyal sidekick!
Queenie has met other dogs at BARCS and does best with gentle dog pals.
