Meet Little Cesar! This 46 pound gentleman is full of charm and ready to find a family of his own. He is house trained at the shelter and already knows "sit," especially when tasty treats are involved! Little Cesar is very food motivated and may even hop into your lap to get a better sniff of your treats, all while showing off his adorable wagging tail.
He walks nicely on leash, though he may pull a bit when something catches his interest. He's easy to redirect and settles in nicely. He passed a smaller dog without any reaction and was interested in a couple of larger dogs, but responded well to gentle guidance. Little Cesar loves toys so much! He loves stuffies and squeakies and balls, and he can amuse himself rolling about the yard with his favorite toy.
More than anything, Little Cesar loves being close to his people. He's happy to climb into your lap for pets and affection, proving what a sweet, loving boy he is.
Little Cesar recently enjoyed a slumber party with a volunteer, and he proved what an easy, lovable companion he is! This sweet boy settled right into home life, showing excellent house manners with no accidents and sleeping soundly through the night. While he wasn't thrilled about being crated at first, he only cried for a couple of minutes before settling down-and soon he was choosing to hop into his crate on his own for naps and to enjoy his favorite toys.
Little Cesar is a joy to walk. He has only minimal pulling, responds well to gentle guidance, and enjoys exploring by your side. During his adventure to Baltimore's Inner Harbor, he happily greeted adults and children alike, leaning in for pets from everyone he met. He also calmly ignored cats, birds, and squirrels, and while one playful dog caught his attention, he redirected easily with treats and his handler's voice.
This handsome guy loves stuffed animals, whether he's carrying them around, playing fetch, or happily chewing on them without destroying them. He's equally content lounging outside on the deck, going for a walk, or curling up for cuddle time. While he enjoys being near his people, he's not a Velcro dog-he's happy simply knowing you're close by.
Little Cesar is also incredibly polite. He patiently relaxed beside his volunteer during mealtime without begging, earning plenty of cuddles afterward. Although he was a little unsure about being left alone at first, he settled quickly and showed just how adaptable he is-even sleeping through the Orioles post-game fireworks just a block away!
Friendly, food-motivated, eager to learn, and wonderfully easygoing, Little Cesar has all the makings of an incredible family companion. If you're looking for a dog who's equally happy joining you on adventures or relaxing at home, Little Cesar is ready to be your new best friend.
Little Cesar would need to meet any doggie roommates to make sure they are a good match.
