Hello! My name is Lou!
I'm a gentle and kind boy with lots of love to give. I am new to having three legs after being hit by a car. I'm adjusting well and am a real trooper. I would love to join a home that is able to continue supporting me and ideally doesn't have too many necessary stairs (e.g. to get in and out of the home). I don't enjoy being left alone and would love to join a family that has someone home most of the time.
MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES...
CHILDREN: Yes, mature and respectful children.
OTHER DOGS: Potentially, with an easy-going dog. I'm kind of indifferent towards other dogs, unless they come near my valuables, which I don't enjoy.
CATS: No, I see cats as toys and like to chase them.
FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: No, I would do best with someone who has some dog experience.
FENCED-IN YARD: Not necessarily.
HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: No homes where barking/howling will be a problem or where there are too many stairs to get in/out of the home.
SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Yes. When left alone, I am rather stressed, howling and sometimes chewing things.

ACTIVITY LEVEL: Low-medium.
HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes, but expect accidents as I adjust to a new routine.
