Hello! My name is Mr. Gopher!
I may take a moment to warm up to new people but once I feel safe, I will curl up in your lap and paw at your hand when you stop petting me. I can be nervous at times and am currently working on building my confidence when walking through doorways, those things can be scary! I also bark at new people and new dogs. I am looking for a patient, gentle home that has some warm laps and big hearts!
MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES...
CHILDREN: I would do best in an adult-only home. I don't have much experience with kids and can be timid.
OTHER DOGS: Potentially, with another small dog. But know, I don't seem to play with my current dog friends and I don't like sharing my human lap with them.
CATS: Yes.
FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: I would do best with someone who has experience with small breeds or timid dogs.
FENCED-IN YARD: Not necessary.
HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: Any where barking won't be a problem.
SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily. Though I will miss your lap when you're gone.
SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME...
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Low-medium.
HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes, but expect some accidents as I adjust to a new home.
