There are dogs who play hard to get. And then there's Joe-who's already in love with you and just hasn't met you yet.
Joe is an incredibly gentle, sweet soul who has somehow been waiting in the shelter far longer than he deserves. He's not loud. He's not pushy. He doesn't jump up on people or demand attention. Instead, he sits quietly, wagging his tail, hoping someone will finally look his way and say, "You. You're mine."
He's a certified good boy-good with other dogs, fantastic with people, and very attached to his stuffies (especially the squeaky ones). He likes to carry them around like prized possessions, gently tossing them in the air or laying with them while he naps. It's kind of heartbreakingly adorable.
Joe is the type of dog who just wants to be close to you. If you move rooms, he'll follow. If you sit on the couch, he'll curl up next to you. If you're having a bad day, Joe will look at you like you hung the moon, silently reminding you that you're never alone.
His only flaw? He's clingy. But like... in the best, most wholesome way possible. If "wants to be with you a lot" is a red flag, then Joe is guilty as charged.
Joe has been overlooked too many times. He's seen dogs come and go. He's watched people walk right past him. But he still hopes. Still waits. Still offers his stuffy to visitors like maybe this one will be his person.
