Update: My heart breaks for Laurie and Eric. They're pups growing up in the shelter, and I feel like they'd probably already have homes if they didn't have cherry eyes. The shelter will cover the cost of the surgery needed to correct their eyes once they are adopted. Both are sweet, playful pups. Eric recently attended a community event and did well with people and other dogs and was especially a fan of kids. I imagine Laurie would do well at a community event as well but hasn't attended any that I know of. She is as sweet as she can be and was on my lap today being loved on. Both like sitting for treats and getting attention. It was too hot to play on the turf, so Eric played with a few toys beneath the picnic table while Laurie sat with me. I hope they find new homes soon. They're good-natured pups who love one another and will love new families.

Update: Shelter staff confirmed that the shelter will cover the cost of Laurie's cherry eye repair surgery when she is adopted! This goes for her brother Eric as well.

Laurie and Eric are sweet, friendly pups. They're also two peas in a pod who'd run and frolic together as well as sit together when it was time for treats. Both pups have cherry eyes, but that's something that can be corrected. They're still little cuties with fun and joy to share.
