Update: Buddy has settled in at the shelter and was showing me how well he can sit for treats. He's a good-natured dog, and being in a corner kennel, he gets a lot of canine traffic by his gate, but he's always friendly to dogs that pass by.

Buddy is a handsome, friendly boy with gorgeous blue eyes. He was excited to leave his kennel and pulled on the leash going to the interaction pen but was perfect walking back. He'd just arrived at the shelter and needed time to check out his new surroundings. After running a few laps around the play yard, he headed to the shade to relax and sat beside me enjoying pets and scratches. He's a sweet dog. Buddy is microchipped and hopefully he'll be reclaimed. Unfortunately, he has heartworms, so if he's not reclaimed, he'll only be available to rescue, foster, or foster-to-adopt until he's treated. Once treated, he'll also be available for adoption.
