Update: Carne is a quiet, handsome boy. Someone cut his ears probably to make him look tough, but he's actually a big sweetie. He was a little shy with me, but when he saw his favorite caretaker, he lit up and was all love, tail wags, and kisses. It made me smile seeing him so happy with his friend. Carne was in a temporary foster home with other dogs for a few days, and I'll update his page when I have more information, but watching him today, I can see what a great buddy he is!

Carne is a big, handsome fellow. He's also scared to be at the shelter and was shaking when I stood at his gate and asked him if he wanted to go outside. He wasn't ready, but later in the day I saw a worker walk him to an interaction pen and then reassure him with pets that everything would be okay. I stepped in for a few pictures, and while Carne came over to check me out, he wasn't ready for toys or treats. I watched him with one friend today, and I'm sure he'll be ready to meet more once he's more comfortable in his new surroundings.
