Former foster update: "He's a happy, snuggly pup and responds well to squeaky toys (the only way I could get him out of his bed) and treats. In less than three weeks he has learned come, sit, stay, no sir, and off. He also fetches, but his activity has to be limited due to heartworms and his upcoming treatments. He gets along great with other dogs, but is not a good fit for cats. He requires a feeding schedule to ensure he goes to the restroom outside at specified times.
I cannot express in words how loving, sweet and eager to please he is. Besides mostly sleeping (for 12 hours at times) and sunning, he loves snuggles, pets, and kisses. He's also very independent and easy going. He sleeps wherever he chooses, except in the human bed. Of course, he would be thrilled to do that as well."

Dirty (AKA Derby to his friends) is a friendly fellow who was happy to have some time outside. He met his canine neighbor at the fence, and they touched noses and wagged their tails. She showed him how much she liked the treats I had, and Dirty decided to try them. He liked them so much that he'd hop on the table and sit for them. Dirty was also partial to scratches along his back and put half his body in my lap as he enjoyed them. His former owner said that Dirty was an indoor/outdoor dog and has been around children and other dogs. He's a good boy, but I could tell as he stared beyond the fence that he was missing his family. I hope he finds a new one.
