June 2025 update: Hallie is a fun beauty. She found a ball under the table and wanted to play fetch. Since it was too hot for much turf activity, we played short distance fetch in the shade, and we also played catch. She's a pro at both. Hallie was adopted from the shelter some time ago and sadly is back due to her former adopter having to travel for work. Her former owner said she knows commands like crate, come here, and no. She also sits well and is house trained and crate trained. Hallie has been around cats and other dogs and is friendly but at times a little anxious. I imagine it depends on how the dogs/cats react to her. I know she did well in doggy daycare with her original owner. Hallie is a well-behaved girl and super fun companion.

Foster update: Let's be honest, a lot of people that want to adopt dogs, come to the shelter looking for puppies or small dogs - and beautiful girls like Hallie get overlooked.
Hallie is the quintessential dog! She loves playing fetch and would be happy to play fetch with you anytime. She's four years old, so she's past that puppy nonsense, and she's already house trained, crate trained, good on a leash, and knows many commands including 'sit' 'down' 'come' 'stay' and 'crate'. Hallie is also an expert at the quizzical head tilt!
She's been loving her time in a foster home, but really wants something permanent. Hallie's foster says that she is a sweet and very well trained girl that has endless love for playing fetch. She is easy going and calm inside but also loves being outdoors and active.
If you're looking for a sweet, well-behaved dog then please give Hallie a chance.

I LOVE Hallie and had the best time playing with her. When I first met her, she was shy and hiding in the back of her kennel, but once we were outside, she was all about fun and LOVES playing fetch and catch. She's a pro and gives it her all. Every time I'd throw a ball, she'd bring it back; she'd even place it in my hand. Hallie is great at playing catch, too, and leaps to catch the ball. I was amazed at her skills.

Her former owner said Hallie is house trained and is good with children seven years and older. She's also good with other dogs and even attended doggie daycare.

She's a smart well-behaved girl though sometimes I'd have to remind her to sit before I'd throw the ball. A few times, in her excitement for the game, she'd jump up, but reminders work for her.

She has a sensitive stomach and eats Hill's Science Diet. She was surrendered because her owner had to move in with his/her parents and their dog doesn't like other dogs. I know that was a hard decision because it's obvious that her former owner spent a lot of time with Hallie.

She's a super dog, and I hope she finds a new home soon--one where she's loved and can play LOTS of fetch and catch.
