Update from Loretta's foster:
Loretta's love language is DEFINITELY personal touch - she looooooves cuddles, pets, scratches, and ATTENTION more than anything! She loves to play fetch and spend time outside (she's good on the leash!), and she gets very excited to show you paw (shake) for a treat!
_____
Loretta is a sweet eight-year-old who has spent her life in a crate. Everything is new and often scary for her, but she's coming along and learning new things. A leash was especially frightening, but she's making progress with lots of encouragement. She likes toys and treats and has learned that pets and scratches are nice. Of course, my camera scared her, so I had a hard time taking her pictures, and they don't do her justice, but she's a beautiful dog. She'd thrive in a quiet, loving home where she can feel safe and continue learning about this new world she's experiencing beyond the walls of a crate.

Loretta came to us positive for heartworms, but she has been treated! To learn more about heartworms, and how to prevent them, please go https://www.heartwormsociety.org/.
