Meet Caramel! This girl is a soft little daydream with a shy heart and a sweetness that truly shines once she feels safe. In new surroundings, Caramel takes some time to settle in. But once she's comfortable, her personality shines! Caramel becomes a loving, energetic and affectionate pup who adores being close to her people. She finds comfort in familiar faces and enjoys simply being near those she trusts, soaking up all the love!


IN-SHELTER NOTES & IDEAL HOME

SIZE:
53 lbs.

HOME TYPE:
House or Townhouse. No apartments as Caramel can nervous, sensitive to sound and can be vocal at times. She would do best in a home without shared corridors/entryways or shared walls.

CHILDREN:
Yes- Older children potentially compatible.

CATS & SMALL ANIMALS:
Yes- Cats potentially compatible with slow proper introduction.

OTHER DOGS:
Yes- Dogs potentially compatible.

ACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL:
High; will need a lot of daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation.

HUMAN COMPATIBILTY:
First time dog owner possible. Caramel's new family will need to be prepared to work on helping her become more comfortable with new environments and work on her sound desensitization.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS:
At least two in-person training sessions to work on socialization, basic training, manners and sound sensitivity.

HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER:
Very human social once comfortable.

Loves her people and is very affectionate.
