Dale is a thoughtful guy who just needs a couple of meet-and-greets to feel truly comfortable with new people. Once he knows you, his loving personality really shines, he'll happily soak up all the attention you have to give and be right by your side.
He also has a playful streak and absolutely loves a good game of chase! Dale is looking for a patient, understanding home that will give him the time he needs to build trust and in return, you'll gain a loyal, affectionate companion.

HOME TYPE:
No Apartments or Shared Entrances - nervous in new environments and around new people
CHILDREN:
No - Dale would be best suited in an adult only home
CATS & SMALL ANIMALS:
Yes- Cats potentially compatible with slow proper introduction
OTHER DOGS:
Yes- Dogs potentially compatible.
ACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL:
High; will need a lot of daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation.
HUMAN COMPATIBILTY:
A family with previously owned large dog experience is a must. Once he gets comfortable he can be jumpy.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS:
At least two in-person training session to work on socialization, basic training, manners and sensitivities.
HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER:
Nervous when first meeting and may take a bit to warm up, once he does be is a cuddle bug and playful. Dale is nervous of new people and may meet multiple meets before going home.
FAVOURITE THINGS:
Getting lots of snuggles and playing chase with his people. His favourite thing in the whole world would have to be treats!
