HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER:
Very human social. She is so friendly and sweet. She enjoys attention from her people!

FAVOURITE THINGS:
Pets and love from her people. She is playful and bouncy!

FOSTER AND FIELD TRIP INSIDER INFO: (please note that dogs may behave different in foster's care than adopter's care and the following cannot be guaranteed)

HOUSE TRAINING:
She's done well, but still has some way to go. I have been taking her out every hour to help alleviate the chances. If she hasn't gone pee for over and hour or two, she will pee (or poo) if she gets excited in the house.

CAR MANNERS:
She will whine at first and might not want to get in but she settles well over time.

LEASH MANNERS / ON WALK MANNERS:
She walks great on a leash! She will want to say hi to everyone but listens very well if I say "not today". She heels very well & walks on my left almost always.

CRATE TRAINING:
She's great! It might take her a day or so in the new house to settle into it but with time she goes in and out great.

KNOWN TRAINING CUES:
She knows sit, we're working on others but is very treat motivated and so smart.

HUMAN SOCIAL:
Loves everyone! She is so great, she will occasionally jump but listens well to redirection. I've introduced her to so many people and she makes so many friends on her walks we haven't had any issues.

TOYS:
She loves soft toys, not a fan of the hard plastic ones. She hasn't destroyed any, she'll just gently chew or play with them.

FOOD & TREATS:
Not picky at all, she does eat her meals very quickly so maybe as she is still growing. It may be worth having a slow feeder or finding other ways to slightly slow her down in her new home.

For more information on any behaviours stated above, please check out our behaviour fact sheet: https://kwsphumane.ca/BehavioursandDefinitions

At HSKWSP we do not assign our dogs or cats with a breed as we cannot guarantee the specific breed that they are. All dogs are labelled as small, medium and large breed and cats are labelled as DSH, DMH and DLH based on their characteristics.

***NOTE*** Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. They will be experiencing a new environment and meeting new people, which means they may not exhibit the same behaviours they did in their foster videos or while in foster care.
