Meet Parker - a big-hearted goofball ready for a fresh start!
Parker is a 2-year-old large mixed-breed boy who came to the shelter in rough shape - very underweight and unsure of the world. With time, good meals, and patient handling, he's revealed his true personality: a happy, silly, affectionate dog who wants nothing more than to be someone's loyal companion.
Parker is full of youthful energy and goofiness. He loves toys, playtime, and showing off his bouncy, joyful side. He's still working on his basic manners and would benefit from continued training to help him channel that enthusiasm in the right direction. He's smart, eager, and food-motivated, which makes learning fun for him.
Because of his tough start, Parker can still feel a little worried about high-value things and may resource guard. He's already making progress with structure and clear guidance, and he'll do best with an adopter who's experienced or willing to work with positive reinforcement to help him feel secure and understood.
What Parker wants most is a patient, consistent home where he can continue gaining confidence and learning that he doesn't have to fend for himself anymore. In return, he'll offer endless laughs, big snuggles, and the huge reward of watching a once-struggling dog grow into his best self.
If you're ready to help a good boy keep becoming great, Parker is waiting to meet you.
