Blair is a gentle, sweet girl who just needs a little time and patience to shine. Once she feels comfortable, her friendly and affectionate personality really comes through, she loves nothing more than being close to her people and soaking up their attention. Because the world can feel a bit overwhelming to her, Blair is looking for a family who will let her go at her own pace, help her build confidence step by step, and show her that the world isn't such a scary place. The good news? She's highly motivated by treats, which makes earning her trust (and teaching her new things) extra rewarding!

SIZE:
56 lbs.
HOME TYPE:
House or Townhouse- No busy or large apartments as Blair is shy/nervous, can be sound sensitive and can be vocal at times.
CHILDREN:
No- Adult only or adults and near adult aged children potentially compatible.
CATS & SMALL ANIMALS:
Yes- cats potentially compatible with slow proper introduction.
OTHER DOGS:
Yes- Dogs potentially compatible.
ACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL:
High; will need a lot of daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation.
HUMAN COMPATIBILTY:
First time dog owner possible. Her new family will need to be prepared to work on difficult behaviours such as reactivity and sound/touch sensitivities.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS:
At least two in-person training sessions to work on socialization, basic training, manners, sound/touch sensitivity and reactivity.
HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER:
Blair is nervous and shy, but does love to interact with people once she is feeling comfortable.
FAVOURITE THINGS:
She is very food motivated and loves a high quality treat!
