Sky is a young, happy pup who absolutely adores people. She's the kind of dog who lights up when she's around her humans. Toys are fun, but nothing beats ear scratches, belly rubs, and just being close to you! She's wiggly, playful, and full of love, always ready to soak up affection. Sky is also very food-motivated, which makes training both fun and rewarding. House or Townhouse. No apartments as Sky can be vocal at times.
CHILDREN:
Yes- Older children potentially compatible. Sky can be jumpy/mouthy and can be pushy with her interactions.
CATS & SMALL ANIMALS:
Yes- cats potentially compatible with slow proper introduction.
OTHER DOGS:
Yes- Dogs potentially compatible
ACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL:
High; will need a lot of daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation.
HUMAN COMPATIBILTY:
First time dog owner possible, provided her adopter is willing to work on difficult behaviours such as possible resource guarding and separation anxiety.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS:
At least two in-person training sessions to work on socialization, basic training, manners, possible resource guarding and separation anxiety.
HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER:
Very human social. Sky is a very sweet and social girl and loves people! She learns quickly, especially when treats are involved.
FAVOURITE THINGS:
Loves people and is very food motivated.
