Meet Dexter, a shy guy at first, but give him a little time and he'll turn into your personal goofball. Once he feels comfortable, he's all about fun: wiggles, zooming around the yard, playing with toys, and bouncing like he's got springs in his paws. Dexter has a silly, playful side that shines brightest with people he trusts. He's looking for a home that understands the magic of patience, because once he knows you are here to stay, he's all happy wiggles, and nonstop joy!

SIZE:
30 lbs
HOME TYPE:
House or Townhouse. No busy/noisy apartments as Dexter can be nervous of new environments and he can also be vocal.
CHILDREN:
Yes- older children potentially compatible.
CATS & SMALL ANIMALS:
Yes- cats potentially compatible with slow proper introduction.
OTHER DOGS:
Yes- Dogs potentially compatible
ACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL:
High; will need a lot of daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation.
HUMAN COMPATIBILTY:
First time dog owner compatible. Willingness to work on difficult behaviours such as possible research guarding and separation anxiety.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS:
At least three in-person training sessions to work on socialization, basic training, manners, separation anxiety, resource guarding and sound desensitization.
HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER:
Very human social. He is bubby and friendly once comfortable.
FAVOURITE THINGS:
Loves playing with toys!
