Meet Waylon: The Sweetheart with a Spark!
Waylon may be a bit older, but don't let that fool you, he's still got plenty of pep in his step! He's sweet, gentle, and always ready for an adventure, especially if it ends with a treat (he'll take it from you ever so politely). Waylon loves spending time with his people, exploring the world, and of course, keeping up with his younger partner-in-crime, Willie.
He brings a calm, affectionate presence that beautifully balances Willie's bouncy spirit. These two are deeply bonded and looking for a home together where they can keep making memories side by side. With Waylon's gentle charm and Willie's wild enthusiasm, they're the full package. Come in to the shelter to meet these boys today!

SIZE:
52 lbs.
HOME TYPE:
House- Willie and Waylon can be vocal and would do best in a home without shared walls or entryways.
CHILDREN:
Yes- Middle aged children or older children who have large dog experience potentially compatible.
CATS & SMALL ANIMALS:
No- Due to prey drive.
OTHER DOGS:
Yes- Dogs potentially compatible. Waylon is bonded with his best friend Willie and they would need to find a home together.
ACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL:
Moderate; will need daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation but enjoys some daily down time as well.
HUMAN COMPATIBILTY:
First time dog owner possible. His new family should be familiar and/or researched hound breeds.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS:
At least one in-person training sessions to work on socialization, basic training, manners and separation anxiety.
HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER:
He is human social and very friendly! He is a very sweet boy.
FAVOURITE THINGS:
