Oh, hello there, my name is Big Ammachi and I'm a beautiful 9-year-old, female, tortoiseshell cat! You may have heard rumours about torties having "tortitude" but I assure you that's made up by Big Orange Cats trying to hog all the attention! I am super sweet, very friendly, and actually quite shy to start, but I love getting pets, brushing, and attention. I'm even a perfect lady when getting my nails trimmed. Once I have time to get to know my new home, I will be glued to your side!
Yes, technically I am a senior cat, but I still have energy! I am on a very specific diet, and as I slowly lose my extra chub, I keep getting more playful and athletic. I love interactive play with my human - tossing spring toys, laser pointers, and dragging wand toys. I especially love running in and out of a cat tube and batting at toys through the windows.
In my downtime, I love to sleep in a cat house, cat bed, my carrier, on a cat tree, or leaning up against your leg. I like to have lots of safe places to sleep, but also a good window spot for watching all the birds outside. If your New Year's resolution is less screen time, I can help you with that! Anyone distracted by their phone around me will receive taps on their arm to remind them that the best thing for their mental health is to pet a cat!
