Axel is a charming and curious dog with a heart as big as his nose! He lives for long walks where he can follow scents and explore the world one sniff at a time. Watching him take in his surroundings is like seeing pure joy in motion.
He's looking for a home where he'll get plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and time outdoors to enjoy his favorite hobby: sniffing everything! If you enjoy leisurely strolls, and are looking for a loyal companion with a big personality, Axel may be just the one for you.

ACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL:
Moderate to High; will need daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation but enjoys some daily down time as well.
HUMAN COMPATIBILTY:
Hound breed experience is an asset! But a first time dog owner possible, that has done research on hound breed characteristics.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS:
One in-person training sessions required to work on socialization, basic training, and manners.
HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER:
Absolutely loves meeting new people, and going for walks.
FAVOURITE THINGS:
Getting all the love from people and sniffing as much as he can!
