Once she opens up, you'll discover a gentle soul who loves to "chat" and will happily keep you company with some conversation. Jewels is currently learning her manners and making great progress. She's eager to learn and would thrive in a calm, understanding home where she can continue to build confidence at her own pace.

SIZE:
55 lbs
HOME TYPE:
House or Townhouse - Private entrance due to nervousness around new people and no shared walls or apartments due to being vocal.
CHILDREN:
No - as she can be really nervous with new people.
CATS & SMALL ANIMALS:
Yes- cats potentially compatible with slow proper introduction.
OTHER DOGS:
Yes- Dogs potentially compatible.
ACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL:
High; will need a lot of daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation.
HUMAN COMPATIBILTY:
First time dog owner possible.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS:
Minimum 3 in-person training sessions to work on the following; Basic obedience, Basic manners (jumping up, mouthing), Socialization, Barrier reactivity and Resource guarding.
HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER:
She can be nervous or shy with new people but once comfortable with somebody she is very friendly and outgoing.
