FOSTER AND FIELD TRIP INSIDER INFO: (please note that dogs may behave different in foster's care than adopter's care and the following cannot be guaranteed)
HOUSE TRAINING:
She is doing great! She does need lots of constant pee breaks during the day. If she is crated throughout the day/night she does pretty well. If she is too excited/stressed she still has tiny accidents.
CAR MANNERS:
She absolutely loves the car! She will often go to sleep or quietly look out the windows.
LEASH MANNERS / ON WALK MANNERS:
She is working on walking. Can be a bit of a puller and can be very enthusiastic to see people and other dogs. Currently working lots on "look at me" during the walks and not being as reactive to people and dogs.
CRATE TRAINING:
She does very well in a crate! She might whine for a bit, especially if she can still see/hear you in the house, but she will settle down within a few minutes. Loves having her kong to chew on while crated.
KNOWN TRAINING CUES:
Gloria is an expert at "sit" and currently putting lots of work into "look at me". Does not know any other commands at this time, but she does have great recall.
HUMAN SOCIAL:
She loves cuddles and attention. Might be a bit hesitant when meeting new people but can very quickly warm up to them. She does love her own personal space when working on a chew toy but she will happily cuddle up to you if you give her attention.
TOYS:
Gloria needs tough toys! She is a very tough chewer and loves her kong & kong bone (especially when filled with treats). She will randomly grab items of clothing as well if left around (socks, hats, underwear, even small blankets). She does very well with dropping items in exchange for treats or other toys. She is always happy to just quietly chew on her toys alone.
FOOD & TREATS:
She is VERY food motivated & loves snacks and treats of all sorts. Eats her dry food with no problem and loves having a stuffed kong.
Overall, this is one of the most loving and sociable dogs. She has a loving personality and will definitely form a bond with everyone in the household. She is happy going on long walks or she is happy taking a morning nap, so long as she gets to spend time with you. She has a very playful attitude and will get excited over just about anything.
