HOME TYPE:
House or Townhouse - No Apartments as she can be vocal.

CHILDREN:
Yes - older children or adults as she is a high energy dog and lacks manners.

CATS AND SMALL ANIMALS:
Yes - cats and small animals potentially compatible with proper slow introduction.

OTHER DOGS:
No - Reactive to other dogs.

ACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL:
High - will a lot of daily exercise, enrichment and stimulations.

HUMAN COMPATIBILTY:
First time dog owner possible if prepared to work with some difficult behavours (i.e. reactivity). Herding breed research and or experience recommended.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS:
Minimum 3 in-person training sessions to work on the following; Basic training, Basic manners (jumping up, mouthing), Socialization and Reactivity.

HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER:
Very human social she loves to spend lots of time with everyone she meets.

Playing with toys, getting lots of pets and attention, and field trips with our volunteers.

CAR MANNERS:
She was a bit anxious in the car. Gets better with treats, and reassurance.

LEASH MANNERS / ON WALK MANNERS:
Mariah is lovely to handle on a leash with lots of sniffing. She was very outgoing with the couple of people we met on the street. Her tail was wagging and she was turning in for snuggles. She did seem a little anxious while on the trail hike. She will bark/ react to dogs on walks.

CRATE TRAINING:
Unknown at this time.

KNOWN TRAINING CUES:
Knows sit.

HUMAN SOCIAL:
She is happy, goofy. smart and playful. She loves people!

TOYS:
Loves to play and receive belly rubs.

FOOD & TREATS:
Treat motivated. Loves liver treats.
