Meet Fry, a big-hearted boy who's as cuddly as he is comical! This 80+ pound bundle of joy may be large in size, but he's even bigger in personality. At the prime age of 3, he's full of youthful energy. Always ready for his next adventure but also loves a good snuggle session on the couch, just a long as it includes a belly rub or two.
This clever canine has mastered the basics like "sit," "stay," "down," and "shake," but his real talent lies in his ability to make you laugh. Whether he's pouncing on his toys, locked in on a bird out the window (that turns out to be just a leaf) or doing his best impression of a lap dog, he's a joy to have around.
Fry is learning to respect boundaries. He's quickly picked up on having to steer clear of the kitchen and resisting the urge to bound up the stairs. It's as if he's saying, "Look, I may be goofy, but I can be a good boy too!"
Fry is the perfect blend of fun, love, and smarts, wrapped up in a big, cuddly package. He's not going to be just a canine companion, but instead the source of joy and laughter your home is looking for!
**Fry has a discounted adoption fee to help find him furrever home! Please note that applicants are still required to follow our adoption process and meet the requirements of this pet in order to be approved to adopt**

LEASH MANNERS / ON WALK MANNERS:
Walks well at your side on a loose leash, but is always on alert. We are working on getting Fry to "check in" with us while on walks. We have found using two leashes works best. One hands free leash that clips into his harness, this one is for strength, should a squirrel catch his eye. The second leash, clips into his collar, this one is to help correct unwanted behaviours (getting a bit too far ahead, going wrong direction, etc). Fry is curious when walking past people, large dogs but does well. Just needs to work on ignoring smaller dogs/animals.
CRATE TRAINING:
Goes in easily, no barking or whining. He has been doing well overnight. Crate is used every night or if we will be out of the house for an extended period. Haven't had any issues. Goes in easily, quickly settles, no prolonged barking or whining.

He knows basic commands (Sit, Stay, Shake), even understands "stop" when out on a walk. Has been trained to stay out of the kitchen and to not go upstairs.
HUMAN SOCIAL:
Calm, cautious, doesn't bark or growl (but easily excitable) he loves people!
TOYS:
He's great at entertaining himself by grabbing a toy and tossing it around, but loves a good game of fetch. He is a chewer and will need heavy-duty toys. Have not seen any aggression or resource guarding towards his toys.
FOOD & TREATS:
Very treat and food motived! He loves lick mats, duck liver/breast treats and even having a meal frozen and placed in a pup cup (makes him work for his meal). Calmly approaches food, eats at a good pace and have not seen any food aggression or resource guarding.
