Joker is a young boy looking for a patient family that will give him the time he needs to feel comfortable and safe. He will be microchipped and neutered in the coming days and is ready to start the next chapter of his life.
Joker can be a bit shy when meeting new people, so he does best when allowed a little space to warm up at his own pace. Once he settles in, his gentle personality begins to come through for people he trusts. He walks very nicely on a leash, knows a few commands, and appears to be house trained, although accidents are always possible during adjustment periods.
Joker would do best in a medium activity level home with a quieter environment where he can continue building confidence. We do not formally test with children, but we are recommending kids ages 10 and up due to his nervousness during first meetings, though younger children may be considered on a case-by-case basis. With understanding, patience, and kindness, Joker has the potential to become a loyal companion for the right family.
